The Model Casita and the casita pods were designed to take advantage of several aspects of Terramar. For example, there is a constant breeze that originates from Lake Nicaragua, which is directly behind the development. It comes over the top of the mountain and sweeps down and through the casita pod location, providing a natural cooling effect to the area and the casita. Enhancing that effect are several large shade trees scattered throughout the site. The casitas were designed with an open floor plan to allow air to flow freely from back to front. They will also be positioned to maximize views from the open terrace on both the ground floor and from the unique second story garden/deck area. Note on the Master Plan that the casita's are located very close to the clubhouse/pool area and that their ocean views are similar to the photo at the top of the "Phase 1" web page.
